Every single day now we’re hearing more and more on climate change – whether it is David Attenborough’s plea through his documentaries, Greta Thunberg’s school strikes around the world, Amazon forest fires or celebrities and politicians.
We’ve seeing a growing movement for more environmentally and socially conscious products, which is inspiring an emerging wave of environmentally and socially conscious businesses. Many of those seek to address environmental issues such as our carbon footprint, or our use of plastics and waste.
To highlight these issues and the desperate need for more “eco-entrepreneurs”, we caught up with the man behind the first zero-waste shop in the UK, Earth.Food.Love, and founder of an organic, dairy-free milk called ReRooted – Richard Eckersley.
His journey is a unique one, formerly a professional footballer, playing for the likes of Manchester United, he felt compelled for a drastic change in his life to make a meaningful impact in society and for the environment.
